Escaping to RI and testing the train

Hola Lurkers,

I am currently typing from RI. I wandered up here last Thursday after an 8.5 hour train ride. The train was the way to go. Roomy, comfortable and almost effortless on my part. I had to lug my luggage about 4 blocks and then wait for the train. Boarded and then had a seat or two for my use. Did some reading and about 4 hours of work while riding the Amtrak. The most difficult thing of working while riding, was that the train had just enough vibration action in some spots that words while typing occassionally came out liiikkkeee this. This was with the laptop on the fold out table as compared to securing a firm table in the dining car. We shall see what I can get on the ride back..................

An enjoyable weekend of mainly gaming spent here visiting my old college roomate (Pete) and his family. We managed 2 full days of playing Battlelore (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/25417)
as well as playing spades most nights for 3+ hours. Combine the gaming with lego building (small children and Ron like Legos) and their hot tub twas an excellent weekend. Tomorrow I wander back to the 'burg.
and to the Kellermens....thanks for the Redskins voice message update.
