The next vacation

Hola all,

Looks like the next vacation has been determined. Maine from August 25 to Sep 1 (roughly). A abode has been picked within walking distance of Bar Harbor. Hopefully all goes through with the rental paperwork........ here is a link to the place.

looks very nice, only challenge for me shall be the stairs...may my knee braces be strong enough!

The amount of things to do there looks amazing....hiking in Acadia National Park, biking (40+ miles of trails with no cars), hanging out in the town, kayaking and of course sailing.

So the question is....am I in adequate physical shape to enjoy this? (not to the full extent), can I get into adequate physical shape in 1 month? and most importantly will my knees stay at a reasonable size or will they look like basketballs after a few mile hike?

So much excitement in my future!

Current Events and the Next Vacation

Hail Lurkers,

This weekend saw a successful weekend of gaming with the usual suspects. Also the new 50" TV got some viewing time. The condo is getting closer to being set up. My parents have decided to come down for an inspection visit next week which should be amusing.

Attempting to work out details for a trip to Maine near Bar Harbor/Acadia National park around the Labor Day weekend to get some sailing, hiking and biking in......so if any of you lurkers are interested drop me a line. Also if any of you have been up there and can recommend things to do or avoid feel free. It shall be an interesting challenge I suspect getting optimal lodging around that weekend at this point in time.

Something Fun

Hola all,

Moving is no fun. With that being the case, I am fairly well along in the move in process and other than being worn out I appear to have survived. Painting is complete, and I am into the unpacking phase and a bit more to move out of the apartment. Furnishing has commenced.
